Dr. David Garcia and Mr. Christopher Buggé founded CEDRA in June of 1990 to provide GLP bioanalytical services for the federal government, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
CEDRA has posted impressive growth every year and has grown from just six employees in 1990 to over 450 in 2008. As we head into our third decade, we have added clinical research services, including two freestanding Phase I clinics in Austin, TX and San Antonio, TX. We have also expanded our Pharmacokinetic Services and will launch our Ligand Binding Lab in July, 2008.

At CEDRA, we believe in great science performed with a high level of integrity. We're proud of our company and our people, and believe that the best way to benefit our clients is to believe in our employees, listen to them and invest in them.
One concrete example of this philosophy is CEDRA's Child Development Center (CCDC), which was the first such program in Austin in 1994. Now a licensed facility with several full-time caregivers, the CCDC is an innovative model of a program that positively impacts recruiting, staff retention and company loyalty. By expressing a high level of commitment to our employees and their families, we receive exceptional dedication in return, which benefits both our company and our clients.
Our Revenue Incentive Plan is another way that we encourage every employee to have a stake in our success and our clients' success. It's a monthly incentive bonus program based on profitability and revenues. By promoting individual responsibility and challenging our employees to make the most efficient use of resources, the RIP allows us to keep costs competitive without sacrificing quality. While maintaining a strong business focus, we also strive to be a good corporate citizen in our community. Our dual emphasis is evidenced by the following awards, which we are quite proud of:
